「Sayl The Faithless」DLCパックでは、裏切りの魔術師Sayl The Faithlessが、「Immortal Empires」およびカスタムバトルでプレイアブルなレジェンダリーロードとして登場。新たな4地域の州である山の果てから、ドルガン族の一派を率いているSaylは、嘘と裏切りによって権力の座に上り詰めた。
Saylの台頭は、彼が部族を操り悪魔の儀式へと導いた時に始まった。彼はその儀式を妨害し、仲間たちをNightmawとして知られるカオス・スポーンへと融合させた。それは怪物でありながら盲目的な忠誠を誓う、彼の相棒となったのである。仲間たちの強引な手段とは異なり、Saylはずる賢さとごまかしを武器に生き抜く。
ユニークなメカニクス：操作
Saylは謀略の達人であり、多彩な操作術を使って敵を弱体化させる。敵の軍隊の兵站を妨害し、集落を混乱させ、さらには味方や隣人との外交関係を歪め断絶させる嘘を直接囁くのだ。勝利と破滅への行進において、彼自身の軍隊でさえも、荒野の歪んだ予言者の策略に左右される。力が増せば、より強力で危険な操作術がアンロックされるが、それに頼ることも同様に危険だ。短期間にあまりに多くの操作術を用いると、必然的に暗黒の悪意ある注目を集めることになる。うまく回避しなければ、Saylは過ちへの代償を払うことになるだろう。
ユニークなメカニクス：闇の儀式
魔法力を高めようと常に渇望するSaylは、大いなる儀式を執り行う。そのためには、カオスの祭壇を築き、偉大かつ難解な力を呼び覚まさねばならない。至高なる力を求める中、儀式を執り行うことで、多くの戦い、出来事、ジレンマに直面する。究極の褒賞を手に入れたいならば、かつてないほどの困難も待ち受けるであろう。
新ユニット：
Saylの軍勢は、魔術とモンスター、そして裏切りによって生み出された創造物が混在している。彼のユニークなメンバーには以下が含まれる：
