《BATTLETECH》世界增加了 8 種新的機甲，包括原版棋盤遊戲中的 7 種經典設計，以及專為這次擴展內容而設計的全新機甲。新的毀滅方法也蓄勢待發，8 種毀滅性武器系統開放使用，準備造成空前破壞。《Heavy Metal》推出全新的《Flashpoint》短篇劇情，將機甲戰鬥提升到新的境界，其中包括來自著名傭兵團「狼之騎兵」(Wolf’s Dragoons) 的兩名傳奇人物，以及一艘神秘的廢棄貨船。
1 種原創機甲和 7 種經典戰鬥機甲：
《BATTLETECH》傳承 35 年的 7 種經典機甲光榮回歸，還有首度全新推出的機甲，專為這次擴展內容而設計。每種經典機甲都有獨特的裝備，反映原版棋盤遊戲的世界觀風格。
改變戰局的 8 種全新武器系統：
新推出 8 種武器系統，能以各種獨特的方式摧毀強大無比的對手。新的機甲迫擊砲 (Mech Mortar) 是《BATTLETECH》中的第一個大範圍攻擊武器，可同時摧毀多個單位，而新的地獄導彈 (Inferno Missiles) 則能以燃燒燃料覆蓋目標，使其在戰鬥中停擺。
新的《Flashpoint》短篇劇情：
與來自《BATTLETECH》故事的兩名傳奇人物對峙：「狼之騎兵」的賞金獵人 (Bounty Hunter) 和黑寡婦 (Black Widow)。一艘廢棄貨船從太空深處飄進外圍宙域。這艘貨船有什麼秘密？而船上的神秘彈頭最終又將落入誰的手中？
